Brand + Bloom is a business acquisitions company. We acquire majority stakes in established, cash-flowing businesses, primarily in the United Kingdom, with experience across Canada, the USA, and Europe.

What we collect
We only ask for what we need to assess an opportunity and reply to you properly. Depending on how you contact us, that may include:
Contact details — your name, email address, telephone number, and the company or firm you represent.
Business information — sector, location, annual revenue, profitability, headcount, ownership structure, and where you are in your thinking about a sale or succession. If a discussion progresses, this may extend to financial statements and other documents you choose to share with us.
Correspondence — the messages, notes, and documents exchanged between us.
Website usage — basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, collected in server logs to keep the site secure and working.
We do not ask for special category data, and we ask that you do not send it to us.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
To respond to your enquiry and assess a potential acquisition. Our legal basis is legitimate interests — evaluating opportunities is the core of our business, and you have approached us or agreed to the discussion. Where a transaction proceeds, we also rely on the performance of a contract.
To keep in touch about relevant opportunities. Where we send you updates that are not part of an active discussion, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
To meet our legal and regulatory obligations. This includes anti-money-laundering and know-your-client checks, tax and accounting records, and responding to lawful requests. Our legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation.
To keep this website secure. Our legal basis is legitimate interests.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Confidentiality
Conversations about selling a business are sensitive. We treat every enquiry as confidential from the first message. We will not disclose that you have approached us, or any detail of your business, to your employees, customers, suppliers, or competitors.
Where a discussion moves beyond an initial conversation, we are glad to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before any further information changes hands.
How long we keep it
If a discussion does not proceed, we keep your enquiry and correspondence for up to two years, so that we can pick the conversation back up if your circumstances change. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Where a transaction completes, we keep records for as long as we are required to by law — generally at least six years after the end of the relevant financial year for tax, accounting, and anti-money-laundering purposes.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; to have inaccurate information corrected; to have information erased where we no longer need it; to restrict or object to how we use it; and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@brandandbloom.biz. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
How we protect it
We keep information on access-controlled systems, limit it to the people who need it, and use encrypted email and document sharing for anything commercially sensitive. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send financial statements or other confidential documents by unencrypted email without speaking to us first — we will arrange a secure route.
